Subject: Participate in Georgia 's Arbor Day!

What comes to mind when you think of Arbor Day? Probably school yard fun - children learning about trees and planting for future growth.

But whoever said Arbor Day is just for kids? It's for business leaders and owners, neighborhood associations, lawmakers and homeowners - anyone who understands that many community values do, in fact, grow on trees!

Arbor Day is a time to observe the value of trees - to plant new ones and to care for them all so they continue to be healthy and helpful, especially in our urban communities. To get everyone involved, many organizations that make up Georgia's forestry community are celebrating this year's Arbor Day theme, “Connect and Collaborate”, by working together to promote Arbor Day and educate people about the value of a healthy urban forest. .

Georgia's Arbor Day is Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.  This year, the Georgia Forestry Commission has made it easy to join in the fun of this individual and community responsibility.  Just go to www.gatrees.org to see how you can get involved!

P.S. We all will benefit more if you forward this e-mail to other people you know who will also want to make a difference this Arbor Day.
