  Protecting and Conserving Georgia's Forests

Georgia Forests Forever (GFF) Mobile Classroom

The Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) has partnered with the forestry community to bring Georgia's forests to 5th grade students and the public using an interactive CD-ROM called Georgia Forests Forever. The CD program provides captivating, fun, and interactive presentations of facts and information about how hardwoods and pines are managed, the many valuable products that come from trees, and the environmental and recreational benefits provided by Georgia's forests.  A mobile classroom with a wall mural of Georgia's forests provides twelve computer learning stations for a 15-minute timed version of the program.  A teachers kit is provided to scheduled schools.

The GFF coordinator can be contacted at 770-337-5956 or emosley@gfc.state.ga.us.
