Basic Provisions:
- Only SPB harvested areas are eligible
- No more than 435 seedlings per acre (10 ft by 10 ft) may be planted and there must be at least 250 properly planted seedlings per acre at the time of performance check.
- Lump sum payment to include all practices the forester requires to prepare the site, plant the seedlings for successful establishment of hardwood stand.
- Any components already accomplished (such as site preparation or burning) are not eligible for cost share.
- 5+ acres
Your GFC forester can evaluate the site with you and help choose a hardwood species that is suited to the terrain, slope, aspect and soil types. The forester can also help you formulate a plan to perform any site preparation that is needed to insure good stand establishment and evaluate planting quality to insure that your trees are properly planted.
