Strategic Plan for Georgia's Forests
Following the June 2010 release of the Georgia Forest Resource Assessment and Strategy reports, the Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) and its stakeholders began using the reports' findings to map plans for the years ahead. A specially-designed process that captured the input of GFC employees, its customers and members of the forestry community resulted in this Strategic Plan for Georgia's Forests. It documents the current conditions of our state's forests, the ideal condition of forests in the future, significant barriers to reaching those goals, and specific strategies to mitigate those barriers.
Thank you for your feedback and participation in ensuring healthy, sustainable forests providing clean air, clean water, and abundant products for future generations!
